Remote Desktop Client Available for Android, iOS and MacOS

Couple days ago, Microsoft has released the new official Remote Desktop app for iOS, MacOS and Android. This is a great news for all the companies with Microsoft’s products because allows people to access to many remote resource like RemoteApp and VDI environment, with the support to Remote Desktop Gateway.

The client is a result of last acquiring of iTap Remote software by Microsoft. This first version give these features for Android and iOS:

  • Access to remote resources through your Remote Desktop Gateway
  • Rich multi-touch experience with remote desktop protocol (RDP) and RemoteFX supporting Windows gestures
  • Secure connection to your data and applications with breakthrough Network Layer Authentication (NLA) technology
  • Simple management of all remote connections from the connection center
  • High quality video and sound streaming with improved compression and bandwidth usage

For MacOS we have these features:
  • Access to remote resources through the Remote Desktop Gateway
  • Secure connection to your data and applications with breakthrough Network Layer Authentication (NLA) technology
  • Simple management of all remote connections from the connection center
  • High quality video and sound streaming with improved compression and bandwidth usage
  • Easy connection to multiple monitors or projectors for presentations
  • Print from Windows applications to any printer configured on your Mac
  • Access local files on your Mac from your Windows applications
And Windows Phone? Microsoft’s team working on and maybe will be ready for the next months. Same thing for the iOS, MacOS and Android versions….we will see a new version very soon.
