SC Configuration Manager: Veeam Exclusions for Endpoint Protection

When you install an Antivirus on your servers is very important create the right exclusions rule to avoid blocks and errors. For example, if you don’t exclude folders and processes of SQL Server, the items could fails during live-scan.

As the most important AV solutions, System Center 2012 Configuration Manager integrate the centralize console to manage Endpoint Protection….but is very important create the right rule to protect each server without create damage. Same discussion for Veeam’s solutions as Backup & Replication and Management Pack.

I created two different rules for both products that exclude folders and processes used by them. To import the rule is necessary a right-click on Endpoint Protection/Antimalware Policies and import the .xml file that you have downloaded from my site. After import, remember to deploy them to the right Device Collection.

Both files are available from Download page at this link: http://1drv.ms/1COl5CB
